End of Semester Sketches

Well I made it through the semester without loosing my head, here's some of the sketches I did in my life drawing class, enjoy.

Ladies

I've heard a lot of talk about the lack of gentlemen nowadays. Guys don't open doors or give up their seats for women any more. And I agree, for the most part, chivalry is dead, but not solely due to the apathy of men.

The decline of respect for women has a lot to do with the women of the day. You girls say you want a gentleman, that is understandable, on the same note we men want a lady. There is a huge discrepancy in the way we present our selves and the way we are actually precived. I'm not saying every girl needs to be in makeup and trendy clothes, if that's not your scene don't be something your not. But to see girls at the store or at school in sweats and flip flops makes a guy not want to go out of his way. Especially when the girl is carrying a designer hand bag and took the time to do her hair and make up.

Don't get me wrong, guys aren't really helping the situation. Honking at a random girl on the street will only lessens any chance you may have had. I feel we all need a refresher course on the finer meanings of respect for our fellow human.

Although I enjoy stimulating conversation, I am generally not a person of many words. It seems that presently it is all too easy to offend with one's oppinions. That being said, I prefer to observe before I comment. I've learned it saves me from a lot of embarrassment.

In light of some recent constructive criticism I am making an effort to include more of my thoughts and oppinions along with the imagery I post. Don't expect to be shocked with every posting, but don't be surprised when you don't like or agree with my words.

Most of all I want to thank all who take the time to follow my insperations, and now my rants. Most of you are my close friends and already know where I stand.
